Digital boat logbook
The digital boat logbook that lives on your phone.
The paper log, the receipts folder and the spreadsheet, in one place you can open at the dock, at the yard or at home. Free to start with your hull number.
What goes in a digital boat logbook
- Maintenance, repairs, upgrades and expenses, each with its receipt
- Engine hours with every entry
- Documents: registration, insurance, survey, manuals and warranties
- Every provider who worked on the boat, with their phone and email
Paper log or digital log?
A paper log is good for the trip notes you write at the helm. It is a poor place for the service history: it cannot hold an invoice, it cannot be shared with a buyer in another state, and if it is lost, the history goes with it.
A digital log keeps the receipts with the entries, is backed up, and can be shared with a link or printed when someone needs paper.
How to start in a few minutes
- Type the hull number off the transom. We read the builder and model year from it.
- Add the last service you remember. A photo of the receipt is enough.
- Print the boat’s QR code and stick it by the helm, so the next job is logged by whoever does it.

Questions owners ask
- Does it work offline?
- BoatRealm needs a connection to save. At the dock with no signal, take a photo of the receipt and upload it when you are back in range.
- Can I keep more than one boat?
- Yes. Each boat gets its own logbook and QR code under one account.
- Can I print it?
- Yes. Any logbook prints as a records PDF for a buyer, surveyor or insurer.
